Affiliate Programme Terms

Last updated:

Share Avid with people you know and earn rewards when your referrals buy Credits. Applying is free. These terms explain how the programme works, when rewards become available and how to request a cash payout.

1. About the programme

The programme is run by the Avid Competitions operator identified in our Terms. These programme terms apply alongside your account Terms, Competition Rules, Credits Policy and Free Entry instructions. They govern the affiliate activities we permit, including sharing your referral link. Nothing here removes your statutory rights.

2. Applying and joining

You must be 18 or over, live in England, Scotland or Wales, and have an eligible Avid account. Give us your full name, confirm your current address and tell us how you plan to share Avid. Friends and family referrals are welcome. You do not need a website, a minimum audience or a purchase to apply.

We review applications and tell you whether you are approved, whether we need more information or whether we have declined your application. Applying does not activate your referral link. Once approved, you can earn rewards even if you have not added payment details. Declining an application does not by itself block your account or change who referred you.

3. Referring someone

Share your own referral link or code. The new customer must confirm the referral when completing their first account setup after the programme opens. Simply visiting a link does not establish a referral. Existing customers can apply to become affiliates, but that does not add a referral retrospectively or create rewards for earlier purchases.

An accepted referral remains attached to the original referrer if the customer later joins the programme. It is not moved to someone else because a person leaves or is restricted. Contact us about a genuine recording error; corrections require review and do not automatically create rewards for past purchases.

4. Cash and promotional-entry rewards

For each qualifying Credit-pack purchase by someone you directly referred, you earn 3% of the amount actually paid in GBP after discounts and before payment-processing fees. We calculate each purchase separately and round to the nearest penny, rounding half a penny up.

If someone you referred goes on to refer another customer, a qualifying purchase by that next customer gives you one promotional entry. The direct referrer receives the cash commission. It is one entry per qualifying purchase, whatever the pack size. No further levels receive rewards from that purchase.

The purchase must be successfully paid and the Credits supplied. The intended reward recipient must be approved and eligible at that point. The buyer does not need to join the affiliate programme. Buying Credits for yourself, registering, spending Credits, entering a competition, entering by post or receiving a reward does not itself earn you an affiliate reward. Purchases before the programme opened do not qualify. No earnings or winnings are guaranteed.

5. The holding period

Cash and promotional-entry rewards first appear as held. The normal hold is 30 days from when Avid confirms the successful purchase and supplies its Credits. Each purchase has its own release date. Another purchase does not restart the hold on an earlier reward.

Held cash cannot be requested and held entries cannot be used. After the hold, eligible cash becomes available and eligible entries are issued automatically. A payment issue or programme restriction can keep an affected reward under review. Your account will show its status. The holding period does not mean a payment can never be refunded or disputed later.

6. Using promotional entries

Issued entries join your promotional-entry balance and normally expire 12 calendar months after issue. Your account shows the expiry date. They can be used where promotional entries are accepted, subject to the competition's rules and entry limits. They are not Avid Credits, cannot be withdrawn as cash and do not guarantee a prize. Ordinary postal entry remains available under the Free Entry instructions.

7. Payment details and cash payouts

You can first set up payment details and request a payout when your approved available cash reaches £30. Held cash and money already reserved for another request do not count. We do not ask for bank details before this threshold. A smaller balance stays on your account; it is not lost because you have not reached £30.

Use a supported bank account and provide accurate account-holder and payment details when requested. We may need to check the details or ask for information necessary to make the payment. Saving details does not mean your identity or bank ownership has been independently verified. Missing details do not stop otherwise eligible rewards being earned or promotional entries being issued.

Once you have saved payment details, you can view a masked summary and securely update them even if your available balance falls below the threshold. An existing payout request is not cancelled simply because reserving it reduces your available balance. Any new payout request must meet the current threshold.

A payout request reserves your current available cash. Only one unresolved request can be open at a time. Later earnings remain separate. We review the request and make approved payments by bank transfer outside the Avid application. Approval is not confirmation that money has been sent. Your payout record shows the progress and outcome.

If we withhold a request for review, we give you a message in your account and by email. We can update that message or release the request after review. Withholding is not automatic forfeiture. Changes to payment details require fresh review and do not redirect a payment already being made. Contact us promptly if a payment or its destination looks wrong.

If an unpaid request can no longer be paid as requested, we may cancel it after confirming that no transfer is under way or uncertain. Any remaining valid cash stays on your account; eligible cash becomes available again and affected rewards may remain under review.

8. Refunds, disputes and corrections

A refund or payment dispute can affect the rewards from that purchase. While the outcome is uncertain, we may keep those rewards or the affected unpaid cash under review. A confirmed full reversal removes the unpaid cash reward. For a partial refund, we recalculate the commission on the amount retained using the original rate and rounding.

Any confirmed partial or full refund cancels that purchase's held promotional entry, or removes its unused issued entry. We do not take an unrelated promotional entry instead. We do not undo an accepted competition entry, draw or prize merely because the reward that funded it is later affected.

If a valid reward is restored, we restore only what was withheld or removed. An already-issued entry keeps its original expiry; restoring it does not extend that expiry. Already-paid cash and used entries remain recorded. These terms do not authorise automatic bank debits or deductions from unrelated earnings to recover them.

9. Sharing responsibly and programme restrictions

Make it clear when sharing that you may earn an affiliate reward. Where your content is an advertisement, label it clearly and prominently as an ad. Be accurate about prices, entry conditions, free entry and prizes. Do not promise guaranteed earnings or wins, pressure people to spend, send unwanted promotions, impersonate Avid, or use material you do not have permission to share.

Do not create or control accounts to manufacture rewards, collude to manipulate purchases or referrals, or knowingly exploit an error. We can restrict programme participation where reasonably necessary to investigate credible misuse, address a serious breach, protect people or comply with law. Where safe and lawful, we explain the issue and consider relevant information you provide.

A programme-blocked account cannot earn new rewards, generate rewards from its own purchases or pass a second-level reward through to someone else. We do not skip it and move the reward further up. A programme block does not automatically block other people's accounts or their otherwise eligible lower referral relationships. It is separate from restrictions on ordinary use of Avid.

Earlier unpaid rewards may need review, but a block does not automatically confiscate them, erase history or recover a completed payment. Leaving or being restricted does not rewrite the original referral relationships.

10. Your information, changes and help

Our Privacy Notice explains application, referral, reward and payment records. You see your own reward and payout information, not access to another customer's private account. Percentage-based rewards can still reveal something about qualifying purchase values. Agreement to these terms is separate from optional marketing and tracking choices.

You can contact us to leave the programme or resolve a remaining balance. Leaving does not erase an existing valid entitlement. If your balance is below the usual payout threshold, contact us to discuss how it can be settled; it is not automatically forfeited.

We may make reasonable changes for legal, security or operational reasons. We explain material changes and their effective date, and ask you to accept updated terms where needed before a new application or payout request. Changes do not silently change the rate or hold already recorded for an earlier reward or replace an existing payout request. You can keep a copy of the terms you accepted.

You are responsible for any tax obligations that apply to your rewards. We do not promise a particular tax treatment. For questions, corrections or complaints, use Contact Avid and include your reward or payout reference. Please do not send bank-account details or sign-in codes in an ordinary message. We will review the relevant information and explain the outcome. The governing-law and court provisions in the account Terms apply, including the protections those provisions preserve.
